AlphaSSL
This entry-level SSL certificate is the least expensive and quickest type. They are generally issued instantly. DomainSSL
These are generally issued instantly. With this type of certificate, you can have your domain validated without having to fill out paperwork. OrganizationSSL
For a higher level of trust, have your entire business or organization validated by GlobalSign. This typically takes 1 to 2 business days. Your company will be put through a vetting process which can require documentation and presence in a third party database. Your company details are included in the certificate itself so people can verify who it belongs to.
ExtendedSSL (EVSSL)
This certificate offers the highest levels of trust and authentication currently available. It activates the 'green security bar' and the 'yellow padlock' icon in the visitor's browser. It involves a more stringent vetting process than the other types and is usually issued in 3 to 4 business days.
